A family man currently living in East Yorkshire, Peter has always had a fascination with railways and buildings and has been a prolific modeller for many years. It’s fair to say that Peter’s main interest is the architecture and styles of old and historic buildings and displaying them at a true scale within the realms of railway modelling. Peter spends most of his free time either surveying buildings ready to model, modelling the buildings in his workshop, or on the road showing his layouts at exhibitions.
He has written many model railway magazine articles, and has had his work featured on 2 DVD’s. More recently his Rowland’s Castle layout has appeared on the ITV drama series, ‘Eternal Law’. Over the years, Peter has attended model railway exhibitions all over the UK and also in Germany, Holland and Belgium. He has won many awards including the prestigious ‘Railway Modeller’ magazine Cup in 2008, and has spoken at many local history, and charity Round Table and Rotary Club events.
Recently returning from a trip to Brisbane, in Australia, Peter was invited to be the UK guest speaker at the British Railway Modellers of Australia (BRMA) convention in October 2015. His talks included World War II railway preparations for the D-Day landings, holistic scale modelling and a talk on the East Yorkshire railway architect G.T. Andrews, together with workshop demonstrations and visits to members' homes to view their layouts in-situ.
Peter has the support of his family behind him, especially his wife Julie, who can often be found at the shows helping to run the layouts. It’s this commitment and teamwork that allows Peter to be one of the top modellers in the Country. If you have ever seen one of Peter’s layouts either at a show or in a magazine article I'm sure you will agree that the quality and the eye for detail is exceptional.
Peter has recently started to produce his own cast model 4mm/OO gauge scale figures after becoming bemused at the lack of choice and quality of cast metal figures currently available to furnish a brand new project. Peter noticed that most layouts were also perhaps beginning to look the same with regards to figures, so he wanted to produce his own unique ones. These figures, whilst primarily being produced for the new project, are also now available to purchase at a very reasonable price either direct from this website via PayPal, or direct at one of the model railway shows he is attending.
Finally Peter hopes you like the website and will enjoy the layouts that he has created to date. He also looks forward to meeting one or two of you at the up and coming shows. Please say hello.
